"It won't just be absorbed," says Mr Hood, "it will affect anyone with superannuation, because bank shares are prominent in superannuation funds."
According to The Advertiser's Galaxy Poll, support for the Weatherill government's state bank tax has plummeted, with just over a third of those polled remaining in favour of the levy, and those against it approaching 50%.
Echoing Dennis Hood's previously stated concerns, poll responses also indicate a fear of the tax being passed on - a fear that both Mr Hood and Robert Brokenshire MLC have already called a real concern, stating it will be a burden worn by the everyday people of South Australia.
After receiving support of the Liberals, Australian Conservatives endeavour to block the tax when debate starts later in the year.
