Australian Conservatives welcome the Liberal Party's confirmation that they will support our move to block the controversial bank tax in South Australia.
Stating the Weatherill Government's bank tax was "...never going to be good for business, families, farmers, retirees or people looking to invest in our state", Robert Brokenshire MLC welcomed the Liberals backing Australian Conservatives in their fight against the tax. Mr Brokenshire added "This budget measure was nothing but a lazy money grab by a tired government who after nearly 16 years cannot find innovative ways to grow our state.".
"It was also a measure aimed at distracting voters from the Weatherill Government's appalling track record ahead of the next election" Conservatives MLC Dennis Hood continued, now expecting Mr Weatherill and his Treasurer to face some tough questions moving forward into an election year "...questions about high unemployment, the trashing of our health system and unstable and overpriced power just to name a few.".
