Paton emerges for Conservatives in seat of Hammond

February 22, 2018

The Australian Conservatives have named 21-year-old photographer and filmmaker Declan Paton as their candidate for Hammond at next month’s South Australian election.

The Murray Valley Standard reports that Mr Paton, who lives at Red Creek, near Callington, also works as a school education support officer and has been an instructor at the El Shaddai Christian Camping Centre.

Australian Conservatives MP Robert Brokenshire said Mr Paton was a young man with strong values and a heart for his community.

“Australian Conservatives are fielding candidates from all walks of life and across the age spectrum as we want to see a parliament of diverse backgrounds and abilities,” Mr Brokenshire said.

“The people of Hammond need a strong voice in both the upper and lower houses of South Australian Parliament and I believe Australian Conservatives have the policies and the values and the people to provide that voice for regional and rural South Australians.”
