The Liberal Party has adopted new rules which will make it harder to dump a sitting Prime Minister after Scott Morrison (pictured) surprised colleagues this week.
Former Liberal Senator and now Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has criticising the new rules, telling Alan Jones on 2GB, his former party needs to get its act together.
Under the reforms, a leadership spill must have two-thirds support of the party room before it can proceed.
Labor introduced similar changes at the height of its leadership troubles in 2013.
